1. Service description
HireBrief is a recruitment analysis platform. You upload candidate CVs and a job description; our AI analyses, scores, and ranks each candidate, generates interview questions, drafts outreach emails, and produces PDF reports. The service is provided on a subscription model with monthly CV screening allowances.
2. Account terms
- You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
- Each person may maintain one account. Account sharing is not permitted.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the service.
- To prevent abuse of free trials, we use card fingerprinting via Stripe. If a payment card has already been used to activate a trial on another account, a new trial activation with the same card will be automatically converted to a paid Starter subscription.
3. Credit system and billing
- Usage is measured in credits. Each subscription plan includes a set number of credits per billing period — see the billing page for current plan tiers.
- Credit costs: candidate analysis (1 credit per candidate), interview questions (free), PDF report generation (free), email drafting (free).
- Roll-over: subscription credits reset at the start of each billing period. Top-up CVs expire 30 days from the date of purchase.
- Top-ups: one-off top-ups are available for purchase ($9 for 25 CVs) and expire 30 days from the date of purchase.
- Referral program: when a new user signs up via your referral link and completes their first analysis, both you and the referred user receive 25 bonus CVs. Referral CVs expire 30 days from the date they are awarded.
- Refunds are not available for credits that have already been consumed.
- All payments are processed securely by Stripe.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use HireBrief only for legitimate recruitment purposes. You must not:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
- Upload CVs without having the right to process the candidate data contained within them.
- Use the service to discriminate against candidates on the basis of protected characteristics.
- Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or extract data from the service by automated means.
- Share, resell, or redistribute analysis results in a way that exposes candidate personal data to unauthorised parties.
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.
5. AI disclaimer
HireBrief uses artificial intelligence to analyse and score candidates. AI-generated scores, rankings, and recommendations are advisory only and should not be the sole basis for hiring decisions. You are responsible for making final hiring decisions using your own professional judgement, in compliance with applicable employment laws.
6. Data responsibilities
- You are the data controller for any candidate personal data you upload to HireBrief.
- You confirm that you have the legal right to process the candidate data you upload, including any necessary consent or legitimate interest basis.
- HireBrief acts as a data processor on your behalf. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle data.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HireBrief and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
- You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
- We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, with notice where practicable.
- If you delete your account, we apply a 30-day grace period before all your data is permanently removed. During this period your account is cancelled and inaccessible, but the underlying data can be restored on request. After 30 days, deletion is irreversible.
- Outside of account deletion, your analysis data is removed in accordance with our standard 30-day retention schedule.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the service. Continued use of HireBrief after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
